Cattle Corner: Make hamburgers in 30 minutes

Zesty BBQ Cheeseburgers, from Thirty Meals in 30 Minutes.


1 bruise belligerent beef

1⁄4 crater finely chopped red onion

4 tablespoons griddle sauce, divided

4 slices Cheddar, peppers Jack, smoked Gouda or provolone cheese

4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split, toasted

Lettuce leaves, tomato slices and red onion slices.


1. Combine belligerent beef, chopped red onion, and 2 tablespoons griddle salsa in middle bowl; blending easily though thoroughly. Shape into 4 1⁄2-inch thick patties.

2. Place patties on grid over medium, charcoal lonesome coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 mins (over middle feverishness on preheated gas grill, 7 to 9 minute) until instant-read thermometer extrinsic horizontally into core registers 160 degrees F, branch occasionally. About 1 notation before burgers are done, brush with remaining 2 tablespoons griddle salsa and tip with cheese.

3. Line bottom half of any bun with lettuce leaves, tomato and red onion slices, as desired, tip with burger. Close sandwiches.

Makes 4 servings. Total recipe time: 25 to 30 minutes.
