Chamber sets Kids Q grill competition

Effingham County Chamber Foundation will horde a second Kids Q BBQ Competition as partial of a EffingHAM-JAM event. The eventuality is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jul 29, in downtown Effingham. The Kids Q is sponsored by The Equity and Illinois Pork Producers and is open to kids 8 to 13 years of age.
Teams might include of one or dual children with during slightest one adult (18 years or older) benefaction to support with set up, lighting a griddle and checking and slicing a meat. Each group will be supposing with 6 pig chops to ready for blind judging. Each group is obliged for all recipe ingredients, garnish, tents, utensils, cookware and holding temperatures. The competition will yield a meat, grill, colourless and lighter fluid. There is a $20 entrance price per team.
Professional Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) judges will offer as judges for a contest. First and second place awards will be given for Overall Best Pork Chop with judging formed on appearance, tenderness, season and altogether impression.
