Charles City BBQ Challenge set for Jun 13

CHARLES CITY | The aroma of barbeque will fill a atmosphere in Charles City on Jun 13 during a Charles City BBQ Challenge.
The foe will take place in and with a Charles City Challenge: Whitewater Weekend, as good as a Cardboard Boat Race. The BBQ plea will take place from noon to 7 p.m. in a parking lot behind City Hall and easterly of Tori’s Tavern.
A drink garden and libation tent will open during noon. A family bicycle float along a Charley Western Trail also is designed for that morning.
Barbeque competitors will be in a lot along a stream all day cooking and smoking ribs in an bid to be crowned a 2015 champion. The open is invited to opinion for their favorite ribs by purchasing a sheet to representation all of a competitors’ barbeque.
Tickets can be purchased for $25 during a Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce Office during 401 N. Main St. Only 100 of a voting tickets will be sole for a barbeque competition. However, sampling tickets also can be purchased during a eventuality for $5 to representation any 3 ribs.
Full sheet holders will start tasting ribs during 4:30 p.m. and a la grant sampling will run from 5:15 to 7 p.m.
