Clark County 4-H BBQ set for Sept. 6

The 66th annual Clark County 4-H BBQ is set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in a Martinsville (Ill.) Township Community Center and firehouse. Guests are acquire to use a BBQ drive-through, travel adult to a carryout line, or sup in one of dual air-conditioned seating areas.

Advance tickets are accessible for $7 from any Clark County 4-H’er. They also are available during a Clark County Extension bureau in Marshall, First Bank of Martinsville and Casey State Bank in Martinsville, and Preferred Bank in Casey. Tickets during a doorway will be $8; $4 for ages 1 to 7.  

This year’s dish will underline a normal grilled beef or pig as good as choice of a baked potato or potato chips, immature beans, pickles, bread, splash and ice cream. About 1,100 pounds of pig and 700 pounds of beef will be prepared.

The “drive-up” will be located on a north alley of a firehouse. The walk-up “take-out” line will be located between a firehouse and a center. Barbecue and prohibited dog sandwiches also will be sole during a take-out line.

The Martinsville Chamber of Commerce’s annual Harvest Festival with booths and party is designed in and with a barbecue.
