Decatur BBQ Blues & Bluegrass Festival Set For Saturday

DECATUR, GA — If you’re a fan of a downhome blues, good food and a rolling good time, this weekend’s Decatur BBQ Blues Bluegrass Festival is a ticket. The event, now in a 17th year, is set for Saturday, Aug 12 in Oakhurst’s Harmony Park.

The festival’s origins can be traced to a year 2000 and a Decatur Preservation Alliance’s efforts to save a aged Decatur sight repository during Candler and Howard streets. The site was targeted for dispersion though a village rallied to save a site by distinguished a understanding with a city of Decatur.
Fast brazen 17 years, a village still has a sight depot, construction in surrounding areas is booming, and we’ve got a flattering torpedo song festival to enjoy.
