Early Pioneer Days BBQ Cookoff Set for Sept. 16th &17th, Registration Underway

Early Pioneer Days is set to flog off on Sep 16th and 17th with family fun, competitions and concerts on Saturday night during a Early City Park.
The open is invited to competition in a Lone Star BBQ Cookoff, sponsored by South Park Medical Park commencement on Sep 16th.
Registration deadline is 6 p.m. on Friday evening, Sep 16, 2016. Entry price for BBQ equipment is $150 per chairman or team. Categories of chicken, ribs and brisket will be judged. All beef is to be baked on site. Additional categories are Jackpot Beans and Chef’s Choice, entrance fees for any of these is $25.
Cookers can arrive any time after 12:00 p.m. on Friday. A cook’s assembly will be hold on Friday dusk during 6:00 p.m.

This outlines a 4th year for Early Pioneer Days. The eventuality has seen extensive expansion over a final 3 years. Early Pioneer Days strictly kicks off Friday, Sep 16th with vendors opening during 4:30 p.m., a Lone Star Sanctioned BBQ Cook-off, a U12 girls’ softball contest and “DJ in a Park” with internal favorite David Gist. Saturday, Sep 17th will underline a 5K or Dye Run, a Pioneer Man/Woman Contest, boiled cake and prohibited dog eating contests, kids’ area and demonstrations and most more!
Concert Gates will open during 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sep 17th with internal favorite Callahan Divide holding a theatre during 8:30 p.m. Texas Music prodigy Casey Donahew will take a theatre during 10 p.m. A Fireworks uncover will interpretation a two-day event.
