Ferris Wheelers Is Set to Open This Month – Eater Dallas
September 13, 2017 - bbq set
One of Dallas’s many expected fall openings will be here earlier rather than later. Pitmaster Doug Pickering’s Ferris Wheelers Backyard BBQ is set for a late Sep opening in a Dallas Design District. The grill is employing servers, bartenders, hosts and kitchen staff right now.
Pickering — who owns catering association and BBQ propagandize D.W.P. — will prepare Texas-style smoked meats regulating post ash timber and an equivalent wood-fired rotisserie smoker. Brisket, ribs, house-made sausage, honey-brined smoked turkey breast and Carolina-style pig shoulder will all be on a menu.
As for sides, design to find smoked grill beans, smoked immature beans, grill mac and cheese, jalapeño bacon cole slaw and Southwestern potato salad.
There’s law in promotion too with that Ferris Wheelers name. There’s going to be a 50-foot Ferris circle that diners can indeed float on in between qualification beers and cocktails and grill sessions. Live song and celebration games like bags and oversized Kerplunk will supplement to a carnival-like feel.
