Hog Wild BBQ competition set for downtown

Registration is still open for a 2017 Hog Wild BBQ competition in downtown Leavenworth.
The eventuality is slated for Sept. 8-9 in a parking lots located during Second and Cherokee streets.
The eventuality is hosted by Leavenworth Main Street and Grinders High Noon.
“It should be a fun event,” pronounced Wendy Scheidt, executive executive of Leavenworth Main Street.
She pronounced about 20 teams have entered a competition as of Thursday. She expects about 25 teams will be in a contest. The entrance price is $210 per team.

The competition is authorised by a Kansas City Barbecue Society. Representatives of a griddle multitude will be on palm to decider a competition entries.
The eventuality will be hold from 3-11 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The eventuality will be hold sleet or shine.
Grinders owners STRETCH is approaching to attend a eventuality Saturday, Scheidt said.
The eventuality also will underline a Hog Wild Kid Que, a griddle competition for children, commencement during noon Saturday. Children entering a competition should move adequate beef to griddle dual hamburgers that will be judged. The entrance price for a Hog Wild Kid Que is $5 per child.
