Juneteenth Fundraiser BBQ Cook-Off Set for Apr 11th

A BBQ Cook-off will be hold on Saturday, Apr 11th during Cecil Holman Park in Brownwood as a fundraiser for this year’s Brownwood Juneteenth Celebration.
The competition will start during 7:30 a.m. during a park, located during Hall Street and Austin Avenue. Awards will be presented during a finish of a cook-off. First place will accept a 4-foot prize and plaques will be given to both 2nd and 3rd places.
Entry price of $75 per group is due by Apr 6th along with a concession of 1 shelve of pig gangling ribs for a lunch during a finish of a day. Teams might include of a arch prepare and as many assistants as a arch prepare deems necessary.
There will also be a red bean cook-off with no entrance fee. Contestants are asked to representation in $5-$10 during a finish of a day that will be given to a bean cook-off winner. Beans will be donated for a rib lunch.
The cook-off report is as follows:
7:30 a.m. – Check in/site set up
8:30 a.m. – Cook’s meeting
1:30 p.m. – Cooking ends/turn in 1 shelve of pig gangling ribs
1:40 p.m. Sharp – Turn in time expires/Judging begins/Awards
