MAN FOOD: Triple hazard recipe for Bourbon BBQ Bacon

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Serving adult “man food” is partial of a superbowl tradition during WDRB. And we asked Kroger Chef Paul Dowell to come adult with a tasty recipe to offer football fans.  He found his impulse with 3 of his favorite reduction and a tiny artistic plating.

Bourbon BBQ Bacon

½ hang Kroger Unsalted butter
1 Sweet Yellow Onion (halved sliced)
¼ c. + ½ c.    Bourbon (your favorite)
3 Cheddar Jalapeno Sausages
1 Jalapeno
1-18 oz.  bottle Kroger Original BBQ Sauce
1-20 oz. pkg. Private Selection Applewood Smoked Bacon
4 slices Private Selection Sliced Cheddar Cheese

Preheat oven to 425° line a baking piece with aluminum foil or baking vellum paper.

Melt butter in a sauté vessel over medium-high heat.  Add in onion prepare until good caramelized, about 10 minutes.  As a onions cook, we might have to reduce a feverishness to caramelize but burning.  IMPORTANT!! Remove a sauté vessel from a feverishness supplement in ¼ crater of scotch brew in well.  Put behind on a feverishness prepare down a scotch until roughly totally absorbed.  Remove from feverishness set aside.  *Adding a scotch while on a fire might means a ethanol in a scotch to light fire up.

Bake weaved bacon for about 15 minutes.  It should be only starting to brownish-red up.  Remove from a oven supplement a 4 slices of cheddar cheese. *See figure 2.  Put cheese lonesome bacon behind into a oven for 3 some-more minutes.  Remove when melted.

Spread onion reduction over weaved bacon.  *See figure 3.  

Layout sliced sausages.  *See figure 4.

Starting during a corner with sausages closest, hurl a bacon wobble into a parsimonious log.  *See figure 5.  Put behind into oven bake until a bacon is frail on a outward (about 15-20 minutes).  Remove.

Baste a bacon with a BBQ salsa bake until caramelized (about 5 some-more minutes).  *See figure 6 7.  Remove.

Use a distance of a strips of bacon to beam how vast we cut any serving.  Serve piping prohibited along with a tiny additional BBQ salsa ENJOY!!!  *See figure 8 9.
