Patterson Takes Top Prize during Hanson Lions Club BBQ Contest

HANSON, Ky. (10/14/17) — The Hanson Lions Club events in Hanson were a outrageous success over a weekend, according to bar members.
Long lines could be seen during many grill booths during lunch Saturday, while other vendors were set adult charity several equipment during VF Factory Outlet Mall.
Several antique and surprising cars were shown during a “Cruise-In,” while live song carried a mood.
The Lions Club BBQ Blast-Off judging capped a festivities Saturday. Three teams judged grill chicken, ribs and pulled pork. There was also a village judging of pulled pig entries and sauces.
After a judging, Robert Patterson was named Grand Champion. The grill guru also won initial for duck and ribs, holding an altogether purse of $550.
Jim Herrenbruck won Reserve Grand Champion and placed initial in pulled pork, second for duck and fifth for ribs, raking in $325.
Mike Agee won $125 with his second-place ribs and chicken. Charles Brown finished third for duck and pulled pork, attractive $100.
Lori Piper also pulled in a cold $100 esteem with her tip finish in a Community Choice judging. Tim Rigdon won a $50 esteem for third in a ribs category.
Teen Challenge women were onsite with a booth, automobile rinse and ancillary a Community Choice judging.
