Two Eugene brothers are racing to open an Italian grill in a former Papa’s Soul Food Kitchen and BBQ plcae in a Whiteaker neighborhood.
Sean and Samuel Verkler devise to open Bari Trattoria in a Blair Boulevard building that housed Papa’s Soul Food for some-more than a decade, according to an Oregon Liquor Control Commission Application.
Papa’s sealed in November. It had started as a food transport in 2002 before expanding into a grill that collected a outrageous internal following, with lines of business mostly circuitous out a door.
The Verkler brothers and Aaron Verkler and Domenica Stewart bought a 90-year-old building from Papa’s Soul Food owners Deb Lee in Nov for $376,000, a help filed in Lane County shows.
