Two group have been hospitalised after a grill gas blast that set glow to a back of a Melbourne house.
The group were taken to sanatorium with browns to their arms, faces and chests after a gas trickle from a grill caused a blast in Richmond.
MFB Commander Dominic Scarfe pronounced firefighters had responded to 8 grill fires in a past day and warned people to safeguard their barbecues were protected to use.
“First of all, check a hose and regulator connectors are protected by spraying them with fatty water,” Mr Scarfe said.
“Bubbles will form if gas is escaping.”
He pronounced barbecues should be used in transparent spaces and spotless of additional fat to equivocate dangerous flare-ups.
