Wine, drink & BBQ festival set for Saturday

The Fluvanna County Chamber of Commerce hopes to pull visitors to Pleasant Grove this Saturday, Oct. 1 for a BBQ, Bands, Brews and Wine Festival.
The Chamber total dual renouned festivals into one large party, attracting booze and drink lovers as good as grill enthusiasts.
Chamber member Rudy Garcia pronounced it was a unwavering preference to move a dual together.
“We felt it would be some-more effective to mix a events and concentration all of a courtesy on one eventuality rather than bursting a resources between dual events,” he said.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a ubiquitous acknowledgment cost of $10 (18 and underneath get in free) a chairman can suffer live music, nosh on grilled beef and revisit qualification booths. For an combined $10, visitors can representation booze from 7 wineries – including Fluvanna’s possess Thistlegate and Cunningham Creek – and drink from decoction masters.
A giveaway kids’ play area will be set adult with rebound houses and more.
The festival is critical to Fluvanna for several reasons, Garcia said. “It attracts a series of visitors into a county and it provides locals a good event to accumulate together and spend their time ancillary internal businesses who are participating,” he said.
President Debbie Lucado explained a Chamber’s purpose in Fluvanna.
“The Fluvanna County Chamber of Commerce is a business member-based Chamber organization,” she said. “By being a member of a Chamber, it is a really careful approach to publicize your business, obtain business referrals, accommodate new contacts, and to share ideas and issues that we would like a Chamber to address.”
